$16.6 Million in Lottery Prizes Won in June 2021

June was a sizzling month for Kansas Lottery players, with $16.6 million in prizes won or claimed! Of that, $12.6 million was claimed on instant scratch games, $2.9 million was won on draw games, and $1.1 million was won on monitor games!

Kansas is one of seven states where winners can claim their prizes anonymously. The Kansas Lottery saw 26 players claim instant prizes of $10,000 or greater, and three of those winners publicly shared their stories with the Kansas Lottery. Their stories can be found here. Some highlights from instant winners include:

  • One $150,000 prize on the $20 Extreme Crossword game;
  • One $100,000 prize on the $20 $100,000 Cash Party game;
  • Prize package worth $100,000 that included a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado plus $10,000 on the new $10 Silverado ticket;
  • One $75,000 prize on the new $10 100X game;
  • One $50,000 prize on the $5 Super Red Hot Crossword ticket;
  • Seven $25,000 prizes—two on the $5 Power 5X game, and one each on the $5 Bingo Times 20 Bonus, $5 Galaga Cash, $5 Cash Cow, $5 50X, and $5 Hot 777 games; and
  • Four $20,000 prizes on the $2 Double Bonus Crossword game.

Below is how much was won throughout June for draw and monitor games:

  • Powerball: $359,448, including three $50,000 prizes—two in Northeast Kansas and one in South Central Kansas;
  • Mega Millions: $1,099,330, including one $1,000,000 prize won in South Central Kansas;
  • Lotto America: $179,601, including one $20,000 win and one $5,000 win;
  • Super Kansas Cash: $156,682, including six $2,000 prizes;
  • Lucky for Life: $649,142, including one $25,000 a year for life winner;
  • Pick 3: $353,220, including 417 winners who each won $500;
  • 2by2: $78,335;
  • Keno: $676,692, including three prizes above $10,000—$124,600, $10,966, and 10,807; and
  • Racetrax: $396,843.90.

The Kansas Lottery encourages players to double-check their tickets since many large prizes remain unclaimed, including a $1 million Mega Millions prize sold in South Central Kansas on June 1, two $50,000 Powerball prizes (one sold in Northeast Kansas on June 26 and the other in South Central Kansas on February 13), two $20,000 Lotto America prizes sold in Northwest Kansas (one on June 26 and the other on April 21), and several Holiday Millionaire Raffle prizes of $1,000 or more! Players have 365 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prize. For instant games, players have 180 days from the date a game ends to claim.
